Obtaining a TIN certificate in Bangladesh is a straightforward process that can be completed online. However, it’s important to note that only one TIN certificate is issued per NID number. How to Obtain a TIN Certificate in Bangladesh

Step 1: Create a TIN Certificate User ID

  1. Visit the TIN Registration website: https://secure.incometax.gov.bd/TINHome
  2. Click on the “Register” button.
  3. Enter the required information:
  • Username (8 characters, alphanumeric, no spaces)
  • Password (at least 4 characters)
  • Confirm Password
  • Security Question
  • Security Answer
  • Country (Bangladesh)
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address (optional)
  • Captcha code

4. Enter the captcha code and click on the “Register” button.

5. A verification code will be sent to your mobile phone. Enter the code and click on the “Verify” button.

6. Your account will be created.

Step 2: Apply for a TIN Certificate

  1. Log in to your TIN Certificate account using your username and password.
  2. Click on the “TIN Application” option.
  3. Select the following options:
  • Taxpayer’s Status: Individual -> Bangladeshi
  • Registration Type: Individual -> Bangladeshi -> Having NID
  • Registration Type/New Registration: New Registration
  • Main Source of Income: Service, Profession, or Business
  • Location of Main Source of Income: Select your location

4. Click on the “Next” button.

Step 3: Provide Personal Information

  1. Enter your personal information, including your name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, NID number, and email address (optional).
  2. Enter your current address. You can use your permanent address as your current address if you are not sure about your current address.
  3. Click on the “Submit” button.
  4. Review your information and make any necessary changes.
  5. Click on the “Submit Application” button.
  6. Your TIN Certificate registration will be complete.

How to Download the TIN Certificate

Once your TIN certificate registration is complete, you can easily download your TIN certificate from your TIN registration dashboard.

On the left side of the TIN certificate registration dashboard, you will see a link labeled “View TIN Certificate”. Click on this link to view your TIN certificate. Now, press the “Download” button and your TIN certificate will be downloaded as a PDF file.
